Workshop Film Wins Three Awards

Our workshop production, All That Glitters won three awards at the student film competition at NSIT, Delhi University. Made by the batch of 2012, All That Gliiters won the awards for Best Direction, Best Film, and Best Actress. A big shout out to the whole team, the actors and everyone who supported this film.

Workshop Film showing at SIGNS Kerala

Our workshop film, Best Foot Forward will be screening at the SIGNS film festival 2013, in Thiruvanthapuram, Kerala. Signs is a pioneering film festival for short fiction and documentaries and its an honour for our student film to be screened there. Congratulations to the team, the actors and everyone who supported them!

Workshop Films Screening in Mumbai

Films made by the participants of our filmmaking workshops will soon be screened in Mumbai, as part of Cinema Satsang, a five-day film festival by the Katha Centre for Film Studies in collaboration with India Foundation for the Arts (IFA). The films are being shown as part of the student films selection curated by Allan Ritchie.

The festival will screen 20 other films including features, short films and documentaries. It is supported and will be held 21-25 February 2011 at the Alliance Franciase auditorium, New Marine Lines between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Entry Free. 

The Impulse Filmmaking Workshops films will be screened from 11 am to 1 pm on 25th February 2011.

Best Documentary award for Tales from the Margins; and other screenings

Tales from the Margins wins the
Best Documentary award at the
YNW Film Festival 2008, Sri Lanka

The festival was held at Maharagama, Sri Lanka from 26th to 30th Dec 2008.
The jury was headed by noted filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan.

Tales from the Margins awarded at Docudays Ukraine

Tales from the Margins recently won the Jury Prize at the Human Rights competition, Docudays Ukraine.

This is the 5th award that the film has won, after the Silver Remi at WorldFest Houston 2007, the Special Jury Mention at the Medias Nord Sud Geneva 2007, and two awards by UGC CEC India.

Tales from the Margins: Wins at WorldFest Houston 2007

Tales from the Margins received a Silver Remi at this edition of WorldFest Houston, for films on Political / International Issues. There were more than 4,500 entries in competitition at WorldFest 2007 across genres and categories.

WorldFest is one of the oldest competitive international film festivals in USA (since 1968) and has a long list of “discovered” film greats such as Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, David Lynch, Oliver Stone, Atom Egoyan, Ang Lee and many others.

WorldFest’s mission is to recognise outstanding creative excellence in film & video, validate brilliant abilities and promote future filmmaking in Texas. Multi award-winning producer/director, Hunter Todd, founded this festival to honour all categories of film and video production.

The 10-day film festival ran to a smooth finish with 14 World Premieres, 50 Indie features and 68 award winning shorts.

18TH UGC-CEC EDUCATIONAL VIDEO COMPETITION

"...to announce the results of 18th UGC – CEC Educational Video Competition 2005. The Jury Screening for the competition was held from 24th July to 9th August, 2006 in CEC, Delhi. This year CEC received 246 entries for the Competition in various categories from UGC-CEC Media Centres, Educational Institutions, other Organizations and individuals.
