Impulse offers summer courses and weekend workshops for individuals; customised training for organisations; documentary mentorship; and more. Our programmes are designed and conducted by Kavita Joshi, an award-winning filmmaker and an alumna of FTII Pune.

WEEKENDS FILMMAKING INTENSIVE • 72+ HRS., DELHI

FREE/CONTRIBUTORY: INTRO TO SCREENWRITING (3+ HRS)
Learn the first principles of writing for the screen. Do writing exercises, watch videos and get feedback to your work. Aimed at beginners. READ MORE HERE
We especially encourage college film societies and student groups to organise this workshop. This is mostly free for you, subject to some T & C.


V.  FREE/CONTRIBUTORY: CRAFT OF DOCUMENTARY (3+ HRS)

We deconstruct a documentary to reveal how elements of film-craft – cinematography, sound design, editing and narrative structure – all work towards creating meaning, mood and impact. READ MORE HERE
